The Power of Thought...

Monday, November 10th 2008 @ 6:05 PM    post viewed 242 times

I was reading an article this morning by David Cameron Gikandi, and it reminded me of the Monday Minute from a few weeks back, "Self-Love: the meaning and importance of loving yourself. In it, I talked about the detrimental effects that negative thoughts and emotions can have on the physical body (as well as the mind).  The following extract explains the >sheer power of thought, and how this affects us on both an individual level, AND on a collecctive level. It might just clarify further this idea or notion for some of you - it certainly "cemented" it into me!

"In his book 'Power vs Force', David Hawkins calibrates people's emotions from levels 20 up to 1000. 20 being Shame which is perilously close to death. At the other end of the scale at 700-1000 is enlightenment.

All levels (which could be classed as vibration levels) below 200 are said to be energy draining and  vary from Guilt (30), Grief (75), Fear (100) up to Pride (175).

At the 200 level, power first appears. Courage (200) is the zone of exploration, accomplishment, fortitude, and determination. People at this level put back into the world as much energy as they take; at the lower levels, populations as well as individuals drain energy from society without reciprocating.

Further levels include willingness (310), Acceptance (350) and Love (500).

Interesting facts from the book...

* 85% of the human race calibrates below the critical level of 200.

* The overall average level of human consciousness stands at 207.

* The power of the few individuals at the top counterbalances the weakness of the masses.

* 1 individual at level 300 counterbalances 90,000 individuals below level 200

* 1 individual at level 700 counterbalances 70 million individuals below level 200

In other words, our thoughts not only influence ourselves, they influence others too! If you vibrate at 200 and above you will be helping to raise the consciousness of mankind, and you'll play a big part in creating a better world for all of us."

I find the whole area of "quantum physics" fascinating, and it goes to show just how powerful our minds really are! We must all try our best to think only positive, happy and uplifting thoughts, however "trite" or simplisitc that might sound!

If you're thinking to yourself, how can I possibly think happy thoughts when x, y, z is going on in my life and in the world at large? Well why not simply practice turning some of your repetitive unhelpful thoughts around. I believe that just as it takes practice and perservence to change anything we are not used to doing routinely - we need first to be aware and observe the fact that what we are doing (or thinking) is not serving us. Then, we must believe that we have to power to change, and in doing so, set about taking baby steps in a forward direction. We must practice a new thought or behaviour until it becomes a welcome and positive habit in our lives! Following DailyBread365 is a GRAND example of this don't you think?!

If that seems too much to contemplate right now, simply allow yourself to become more inquisitive, hopeful, courageous and determined in life. According to David Hawkins research, this in itself creates a very positive and "high vibrational" energy that not only benefits YOU (the individual), but it benefits us all! I think that is SO cool!

We really do have power over what we think in any given moment. So when a challenging situtation presents itself, or you catch yourself thinking negatively, or you're feeling low or negative toward yourself, commit to changing that. Commit to thinking and speaking only positive, or happy thoughts to yourself, AND others, and I guarantee it will put a big smile on your face!

Happy thoughts and love to one and all!!
